Bilby Family Day Care Group is a family business established in 2013 in Graceville, Queensland. We recognise the growing need in the community for childcare that goes beyond large, centre-based care and we believe that Family Day Care offers an alternative that is great for kids and meets the needs of modern families.
Family Day Care is home based care and education that offers children a nurturing, secure and stimulating home environment. Family Day Care Educators are professionally qualified and experienced at providing learning experiences for children through play and social interaction. We offer flexibility, stability, educator consistency. Care can be negotiated for a variety of times – early, late, standard hours, before and after school, vacation periods and in some circumstances overnight and weekends.

We discuss your child care needs, provide information, help you find the right educator and environment for your child, monitor your child’s wellbeing, learning and progress, and we work with educators to uphold organisational values, and meet required legislation.
3. Enrol your child

Once you have found an educator that matches your family’s needs, we will arrange an orientation for you and your child to help you make the transition into family day care

Choosing childcare, especially for the first time, can be a daunting experience for any parent. There are many reasons for seeking childcare, including returning to work, changing family circumstances or respite care. Family Day Care is a friendly and flexible child care service. We can provide you and your child with a place in, full or part time care, before and/or after school hours care, school vacation care, care for extended hours, overnight care, weekend care, care to accommodate your shift work, respite care or in special cases emergency care. Our Family Day Care educators work with children aged from just a few months right through to school age. Family Day Care is a great way for siblings and friends from mothers groups to stay connected and build strong relationships as they grow towards school age.
We work closely with our educators to provide children with rich learning experiences and a warm and caring environment.
Play is Learning
Play is very important for children. Through play babies and young children explore and learn to understand the world around them as they come to communicate, discover, imagine and create.
The ELYF
The Early Years Learning Framework describes the principles, practice and outcomes essential to support and enhance young children’s learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school. The Framework has a strong emphasis on play-based learning as play is the best vehicle for young children’s learning providing the most appropriate stimulus for brain development.
